John Piper's Biographies

John Piper is passionate about getting Christians to read Christian biography. He writes about it often and normally works it into most messages he gives.

Far and away the most inspiring messages I listen to over and over and over again by Piper are the actual biographical messages he gives at his Conferences for Pastors. But don't think they're just for pastors. They are for everyone! The folks I give these messages to absolutely love them.

Don't believe me? Click here to go to Piper's Biography page and listen to the message about Adoniram Judson (from 2003).

Philippians Sermons

Robert Rayburn is a fine expositor of God's Word. I have been a fan of his for about seven or eight years now. I think you'll like his sermons on Philippians as they draw out the textual, the doctrinal, and the practical. Really good stuff.

The Gospel of John

The Gospel of John Study

Anyone who has ever sat through any class I have taught... or read any blog of mine for even a brief period of time... has eventually heard the name Ken Boa, probably more than they ever cared to. Ken was a mentor of mine from 1989-1992 while I attended seminary in Atlanta. I learned much from him and was greatly shaped by the Word that he faithfully taught.

Thanks to the internet I, (and you!), can continue learning as a student of Ken's through many great studies of his that can be heard online. The Gospel of John is one of those studies. I encourage you to listen to these lessons many times...only after you've read God's Word for yourself.

A Man's Guide for Inevitable Events

A Man's Guide for Inevitable Events

What are the inevitable events that every man will face at one time in his life or another? According to Morley, they are events that focus on areas of our lives such as: work, money, death, being found out, unmet goals, mistakes as fathers, being lukewarm, marriage issues, etc. These 15 messages really ought to be listened to...and listened to again... by every Christian man. Pat Morley knows men well.

Inductive Bible Study

Inductive Bible Study
by George Gutherie

"A college-level class on how to study the Bible inductively, which emphasizes the most basic tools, principles, and processes for moving from the sound reading of the Scriptures to application. The class is comprised of 9 lectures totaling a little over 6 hours."

I have listened to this class. Dr. Gutherie is very good. The content is top notch. I learned and relearned some things that I believe will really aid me in my study of God's Word. Dale
